Christmas wreath

This is my Christmas wreath I did on google drawing. The hardest thing was to draw around the outside and to draw the ow was hard. The easiest thing was to color everything in ad make the background.

Christmas wish list

This is my Christmas wish list. I would like an iPhone 11 because I don't have a phone. I would like to have one of the rugby jerseys for 2020 because I like to play rugby. I would like a lego set because I love playing with lego.

Wrapping paper

This is my Christmas wrapping paper. The hardest thing was drawing everything then the easiest thing was coloring everything in. I drew everything that is on here and I colored it all as well. The wreath was the hardest thing to draw.

Cooking, Fire, Maps

COOKING, FIRE, MAPS

Today we had three rotations Cooking, Fire, and Maps. The first thing I did was the fire. For the fire, we had to make the base for a fire then we had to make a spark with a flint. The flint was the hardest thing because you have to push down really hard to make a spark. 

Second, we did the cooking. We had to make a potato with ham and cheese in it. I only put the ham in mine because I don't like cheese then we put it in the fire. Then we made a banana dessert with marshmallows and choc chips in it. The Banana dessert was really good because the marshmallows were melted in the banana.

Last we did the maps and we had to use a map to find different letters to spell out a word and the word was burritos. My group didn't get it but all the other groups got it.

Fab Finish Week 7 Term 4

This is my Fab Finish for our book Ghost. Ghost is the book we have been reading this term and it was about running and track. The coach in the book won a gold medal at the Olympics and his dad sold it for $20. Ghost's friends are Sunny Patty and Lu. Ghost's Dad is in jail for trying to shoot him and his mum. Ghost likes to eat sunflower seeds and duck. Ghost and Lu are the sprinters for the team. They are in the Defenders track team. Sunny is the long-distance runner and Patty runs everything in-between.

Fresh Water

1. To find freshwater you find the lowest point in the woods and you go there. 
2. To find water you find trees that are low and very big.
3. You can boil fresh water so it will kill all the germs in the water.

Shelter

• Make your shelter on flat ground
• Make your shelter on dry ground
• Make your shelter away from a river.
• Your shelter must protect you from the weather.

Fire

1. Make your fire with dry sticks.
2. Start your fire with a flint and steel.
3. You can use glass to start your fire.

First aid

• Have a first aid kit with you.
• Bring panadol if you are not feeling well.
• Bring bandages if you cut yourself really badly.

Help

1. You can light a fire in the shape of a triangle.
2. You can burn green leaves to make smoke.
3. You can find a clearing and use some sticks to write help.

Chapter Chat Term 4 Week 5

This is my shoplifter sign, I had to do a shoplifter sign because he stole a pair of silver shoes from the sports shop. He stole the shoe because he had some shoes but they were high tops so he cut them down so that it was easier to run but when he put the running shoes on he felt that they would give him power to run faster. So he put the shoes in his bag and walked out of the store.

Alpine Butterfly Knot

This is the Alpine Butterfly knot. This one is quite hard but once you know how to do it it is really easy. But it is really strong.

Overhand Knot

This is the Overhand knot. It is really easy and it is really strong for tying something to a tree. I give it a 4 star because it is really strong.

Reef Knot

This is the Reef knot. You can use it to tow a car and tie something together. It is really easy for me and I give it a 5 star because it is really strong.

Chapter Chat Week 4 Term 4

This week for my fourth task I did creation station. I had to draw Ghost with his ripped up piece of paper. The hardest thing to do was to draw everything and the easiest thing was to color everything in. Ghost is sad because he didn't get his Defenders track team uniform because he stole some shoes from a sport's shop. But coach caught him and didn't give him his Defenders uniform.

Chapter Chat Term 4 Week 3

This week for Chapter Chat I did A way with words. For A way with words I had to do a five senses poem. The hardest thing was thinking of what to do for what I can hear, smell, taste, feel and see. The easiest thing was making the backgrounds and the words look cool.

Survival challenge task 2 tent

What was the hardest thing? I think the hardest thing was working together because we weren't really working as a team.

What worked well? I think that the thing that worked well was the assembling of the tent.

What did you learn? I learned that sometimes I need to back off a bit and let other people do it.

The shelters we are aiming to make are very simple and won't take very
long to make. Both of our choices include the tarp and rope and we tie
the rope between two trees and hang the tarp on top. Some of the key
features the shelters have are that they wouldn't take long to create and it
could fit two people inside the shelter and protects you from the weather.
The shelters are very similar but also have different features.

Where is the best place to build a shelter?

What does the shelter need to protect you from?

What materials could you use to build a shelter?

What are some pros and cons of sleeping in a bush shelter?

First, you need to find some flat ground that is close to a waterway but you want it up on a hilltop so if the river floods it's not going to take your shelter away. 

Second, your shelter has to protect you from the weather so you don't get cold. 

Third I would prefer to use sticks and ferns but I have to use a rope and a tarp to build my shelter but that's alright. 

One thing that is good about sleeping in a bush shelter is that you can listen to the birds all night but you can't always sleep at night because sometimes it gets very cold.

Bonus Blog

For my bonus blog, I have to do a reflection on how I went at Calf Club. The first thing was the Obstacle course. I got 1st and then I got CHAMPION OBSTACLE. Then 2nd was the leading course and I got 1st for that as well then I got CHAMPION LEADING. Then 3rd was Calling and I got 1st but then I didn't get anything in the championship. Then the last was rearing and handling but I got third. Then at the end of the day, we had prize giving and I got CHAMPION OF CHAMPION KID.

Chapter Chat Term 4 Week 2 (Research)

This week I did Research Center. I had to research sneaker brands. The hardest thing was finding the information on the internet because I wasn't shaw on some of the words. The easiest thing was finding the brands to research about.

Calander art 2019 Term 4 Week 1

This year for my Calander art I did a freshwater underwater scene with Mrs. Kennedy. I put in a koi carp, an Eel, a catfish and three other fish that a draw. There is also some weed at the bottom. Then in the middle is me free diving down to the bottom. The hardest thing was drawing the mask on my face and the flippers because I didn't really know how to draw them.

Chapter Chat Week 1 Term 4 (Digital Design)

The first task that I am doing for term 4 is Digital Design. For Digital Design I had to create a flag for The Defenders track team. The Defenders track team relates to the story because Ghost our main character likes to run and he is on the team. I put two trophies on my flag because they are the two-time champions. I also put a running man and a running track on the flag because they are a track team.

Holiday Blog challenge (week 1 term 4)

For my holiday blog challenge, I am telling you about the first koi carp I got with my new bow. We went to the whangamarino wetland reserve to go and get some koi carp. When we arive the first thing we do is get our bow's out of the back of the ute. Then we go through the front gate to get to where we are going. Then we walk alongside a little bit of a swamp for some carp but there is nothing there. Then we come up to a little drain that hasn't got much water in it so there is carp in it. Then we get to the Whangamarino river and on the river, there is a big were that water lows over and the carp swim up the were. Then we see to carp but they swim away before we can take a shot. Then after about half an hour of standing on the where we think about going to a big lake with lots of floating weed that the carp like to eat so we see 6 carp but we all mist the carp. Then we go back to the were and Logan sees a carp and shoot's it. Then we go across the other side of the road to lots of big ponds so we go to the first pond and see a couple of big ones but don't get them so we go to the second pond and see a few but don't get them either. So we back across to the were and see nothing. So we are walking back to the ute and then about 10 meters away from the ute Dad sees a splash in the water and he tells me to go down and have a look. So I go down and there is a carp right in front of me. So I pull back the arrow and let the arrow go. It goe's flying throw the air and water and it hits the carp in the lip. I think the arrow is going to pull out but it doesn't and I get my first koi carp with my new Bow and arrow.

Blog Challenge ( Dream Holiday)

For my 5th blog challenge, I did the dream holiday. for my dream holiday, I went to Milford Sound and my favourite thing was going camping and hunting. then my favourite thing was going marlin fishing and cage diving to see all the sharks. I stayed at the Milford Sound lodge. I am paying $3715 for my holl holiday.

Blog challenge (book cover)

For my first blog challenge, I did the book cover. You have to redesign a book cover that you have read this year at home or at school. I did it on a book I read at home. The book is called wings of fire dawn of the moon. We had to create a front and a back for the book and we had to rate it from 1 to 5 stars. I rated it 5 stars because it was a really good book.

Fab finish term 3 week 9

This week I have done my Fab finish for this term. When we finish our book we do a fab finish and you can do whatever you want to but it has to be something from the book that we have been reading. We have been reading the book holes and it is about a boy who gets sent to Camp Green Lake for something he didn't do. The boy's name is Stanley Yelnats. At Camp Green Lake you have to dig holes and that is why the book is called holes. Every day you have to dig a hole 5 feet wide and 5 feet deep. In the book, Stanley makes a friend that is called Zero and Zero is really good at maths but he can't read. Then they run away from Camp Green Lake and climb a big hill called gods thumb because it looks like a thumb. Then they go back to Camp Green Lake and dig up the treasure of kissing Kate Barlow. The easiest thing was coloring everything in and the hardest thing was drawing the yellow-spotted lizard and drawing everything.

Chapter chat term 3 week 7 (Vocab)

This week I did vocab and I had to find out the meaning 6 words. The hardest thing was finding out what the words mean and how to put it into my own words. The easiest thing was to find the backgrounds of colourful bubbles.
